Thanks to your support, we distributed over 270 school supplies, including winter essentials, to a total of 238 students from Siddhartha Kula Basic School, Shree Indra Dhanush Basic School, Shree Gang-teiga Basic School, Tashi Gomang Pre-school, and Kalang Bal Vikas Kendra in Dolpo.
Our team braved a three-day hazardous journey to reach Dho Tarap, and from there, we traveled to the Bentsang Valley. We began distributing the school bags and other essentials after the Shey Festival, which both of our team members Ven. Kunga Lama and Dawa Sherpa along with Ngawang, our coordinator, attended.
Children from some of the most remote areas of Nepal received new school bags and much-needed supplies. This effort will have a lasting impact on the students and their families. We are also grateful for the opportunity to experience the 67th Shey Festival, celebrating Dolpo’s rich cultural heritage.
